Did you know that you can make an advance reservation for Oga’s Cantina AFTER Hollywood Studios closes for the day?
I'm sharing all the details of my visit so you can decide if visiting Oga’s after dark is something you want to do!
Hollywood Studios closed at 9:00 pm and I was able to make a reservation for around 10 pm - meaning we were able to stay in the park well after it was closed to day guests. As the park cleared out we made our way towards Toy Story Land. There were only a few guests also enjoying the nighttime ambiance.
I highly recommend making your reservation after the park closes. Not only will you have fun in the Cantina, but you’ll get to walk through a nearly empty Hollywood Studios. When we approached Toy Story Land, we had to show Cast Members our reservation, then we were escorted through the park to Galaxy’s Edge!
While most Oga’s Cantina reservations are capped at 45 minutes we were able to stay for about an hour and a half! I have found that your level of engagement - how much you interact with the bartenders and how much you order - impacts how long you're allowed to stay. Keep in mind that you may have a different experience.
We enjoyed a Bespin Fizz, a Dagobah Slug Slinger, a Yub Nub, an Outer Rim, and a Fuzzy Tauntan. There are plenty of non-alcoholic options, too – my favorite is the Cliff Dweller. They also offer specialty beers, if cocktails aren't your thing! Some drinks are served in souvenir mugs so be sure to let your server know whether or not you want the souvenir mug, or you’ll be automatically charged for it!
Despite being able to book a reservation for 8:30 am - you won't find much to eat aside from some space provisions and bar snacks on the menu. Take a look at the full menu here.
We had a fun and engaging bartender who – combined with our mutual love for Star Wars – made this late night experience extra fun. We danced and sang along to the Gungan drinking song Una Duey Dee… and every other song DJ R3X played! There was hardly anyone in the Cantina with us so we had plenty of room to dance!
Hollywood Studios was deserted as we made our way to leave! It was PERFECT for taking pictures - and made for such a unique experience. All modes of transportation were available at this time too, so we had no trouble getting back to the Riviera!
